Some of our favorite Filipino dishes incorporate Talbos ng Kalabasa. To us, their taste and texture are reminiscent of home. Sentimentality aside, it's also a hearty leafy green with lots of nutritional benefits. The leaves are loaded with minerals like calcium, iron, magnesium, and copper, as well as Vitamins A, B, C, and K. This makes them especially effective in boosting your immune system, preventing anemia, building strong bones, and keeping you healthy overall!
We love our Talbos ng Kalabasa in soups and curries, but they're delicious enough to simply be sauteed with your favorite veggies. Side note: if you're feeling inspired, try cooking them in coconut milk and adding some spice. It'll taste like a mini trip to Thailand!
