Golden Milk Latte
More delicious and nutritious than Starbucks! An ancient ayurvedic drink from India, golden milk is also known as turmeric latte. Turmeric has not only matched, but outperformed modern medicine in many areas. It's perfect for cleansing the liver, treating arthritis, protecting the heart, boosting moods, supporting the brain, and preventing cancer.
Bring water to a boil in a pot and add up to 7 teaspoons of grated fresh turmeric, depending on how strong you like it. Custom make your latte with your choice of dairy or non-dairy milks, like almond or Kai Farms niyog. You can even simply add a dash of virgin coconut oil! Whisk up the mixture, and add a sprinkle of cinnamon and freshly ground pepper before serving. Feel free to sweeten with some honey or coco sugar.
Spice it up with a Turmeric Chai!
If you feel a little creative, you can try making some turmeric chai tea. Just like the latte, the recipe calls for 7 teaspoons of grated fresh turmeric, depending on how strong you like it. This time, add cardamom, cinnamon, and whole peppercorns. Serve with almond milk and honey.
